Acer campestre Lienco, known as the Lienco Field Maple, is a great new clonal selection of Acer campestre which has a uniform upright habit that makes it desirable for gardens and urban areas.
It thrives on most free draining soils and being a selection of the indigenous native it is also great for wildlife.
Green summer leaves turn a buttercup yellow in the autumn before they fall.
The tidy oval crown shape of Acer campestre Lienco lends itself to formal avenue planting requiring little maintenance. We added this variety to our list in 2011 and it has proved very popular.
