NB: Monitors and Television’s are hazardous and are therefore classified as zero value. We will remove them, providing other electronic scrap is available and ensure correct disposal. Keyboards, mice and printers are mainly plastic, but we take them with collections of other E-Waste.
As a Certified Collector of e-waste, Cape E-Waste Recyclers, Recycles or re-sells unusable computers and their components to downstream vendors. All other computer components are dismantled by Cape E-Waste Recyclers and sold as commodities, in compliance with the South African Environmental Act for collections of e-waste. In addition, Cape E-Waste Recyclers regularly holds collection events with cities, churches, schools and businesses throughout the Cape Peninsula and also accepts e-waste from retail stores throughout the region.
Cape E-Waste Recyclers strongly supports environmentally sound disposal practices. Cape E-Waste Recyclers supports the enactment of legislation that would create a national framework to address the increasing volumes of electronic product scrap and end-of-life technologies.
