The most impactful reason for paper drinking straws is for the sake of the planet and future generations. The ABC’s War on Waste team has estimated that 10 million straws a day is not unfeasible for Australian straw usage, and may even be an underestimation.
Normally, paper straws take 1-2 months to compost. Home composting makes great organic matter to feed to your veggies and reduces your carbon footprint too. Our Raw Paper Straws are made from 3 ply premium grade paper sourced from managed plantations and are carbon neutral, recyclable, commercially and home compostable.
