Amberside Energy operate a grid-led development service which is currently deployed finding grid connection opportunities for utility-scale subsidy free solar. Over 3.8GW of potential connections have been identified across the UK at a range of export capacities.

After the grid, we target land parcels along the identified transmission lines, first filtering the potential sites against criteria that make them acceptable for solar development.

The pipeline of connections meeting investor cost criteria has now exceeded 1GW and we are managing their continued development. In doing so we maintain a strong relationship with the DNOs and improve our ability to provide detailed insight on an ever-changing grid landscape.
