Solar PV

Solar PV is an important part of the UK’s energy mix.

Driven by investment in new and improved technologies, the performance and efficiency of commercial solar PV panels continues to improve. In 2016, solar energy accounted for around 12% of renewable electricity generation in the UK. Large-scale, ground-mounted solar farms are a particularly cost-effective way of converting the natural power of sunshine into electricity.

Carefully designed and developed, solar farms provide a great example of how biodiversity, agriculture and renewable energy can flourish side-by-side. We commissioned our first solar farm in early 2014, and now own and operate a total of six sites in Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Wiltshire and South Wales.
