Description

Solid bamboo flooring is made from strips of bamboo that are laid in either a horizontal or vertical formation.  The strips of bamboo are glued together to create the planks of flooring with either a thin grain pattern (vertical) or a wider grain pattern (horizontal).  By constructing the planks of flooring in this way the stability of the boards is comparable to engineered hardwood or engineered bamboo.  This means that solid bamboo flooring is versatile and can be laid over almost any subfloor and can be floated over an underlay or fixed into position if you would prefer.  To find out more about Horizontal and vertical planks of bamboo, please read our article, What is the difference between horizontal and vertical bamboo flooring. If you would like to find out more about bamboo flooring, how it is made, why it is a sustainable flooring product, its eco-friendly properties, and of course why it may be ideal for your home, please have a look at our Blog where you will find useful articles about bamboo flooring and also read about the Advantages of Bamboo Flooring.

Why should I choose solid bamboo flooring?

Solid bamboo flooring is a great alternative to traditional hardwood flooring if you are looking for something slightly different.  Horizontal and vertical bamboo have very different grain patterns so be sure to choose carefully as they create two completely different styles.

Our solid bamboo flooring is available in two colours; natural and carbonised.  Natural bamboo has the natural golden and pale yellow tones of bamboo, whereas carbonised bamboo has been smoked during the manufacturing process which gives it a richer coffee brown colour.

Solid bamboo flooring is easy to install, easy to look after and can last for decades if cared for properly.
