Feeding 375+ Charities Across London
City Harvest rescues people. Hundreds of thousands of Londoners go hungry each day, while perfectly good food is being wasted. We rescue people from hunger and offer hope for a better tomorrow.
Our recipients span all areas of need, including; homeless shelters, soup kitchens, community centres, food banks, children's programmes, schools, centres for the elderly, refugee centres and refuges for women experiencing domestic violence.
Community meals offer those with no social network a reprieve from the damaging mental effects of social isolation. "City Harvest provides relief from the worry of where my son's next meal will come from."
"We offer food as a way to attract members of the community who can benefit from other vital services such as medical, dental, job advice, and training." City Harvest charity recipient.
Reducing Food Waste - Climate Action
City Harvest rescues the planet. We love working with farms, B Corps, and corporate social responsibility / ESG departments. Climate action is a large part of modern business strategy & City Harvest makes it simple for food businesses to:
Donate quality surplus food
Feed those in need
Eliminate surplus food collection costs
Prevent the creation of CO2e gases
Volunteer
The surplus food we rescue might otherwise be sent to landfills where anaerobic conditions cause food waste to release methane, x20 more powerful than other greenhouse gases.
