Air can contain tiny particles which can travel long distances up to thousands of miles as they remain airborne for a long time because they are too light to settle down due to gravity. These floating particles can contain heavy metals, soot, vehicle fumes, dust, microorganisms, etc. These particles are smaller than 2.5-micron size and are classified as Respirable Small Particles (RSPs).
In terms of their size, they are referred to as PM 2.5. These are too small to be seen with the naked eye and 98% of these are smaller than 1 micron making them easily breathed into the lungs.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has stated that it is these smallest particles that pose the greatest health risks to the occupants of air-conditioned buildings. A wide range of research has also confirmed that poor IAQ triggers asthma attacks, allergic reactions, and other respiratory conditions. Problems caused by pollutants in indoor air are collectively and commonly known as “Sick Building Syndrome”. These problems can be very serious, and have long-lasting negative effects in health, should not be ignored!
ZenAir Electronic Air Cleaners are a practical solution for removing fine particles for indoor air for all existing as well as new Air Conditioning Systems.
