We are Clean Sailors, a crew of international sailors who love the sea.

We've come together to set a new standard of sailing within our global sailing community: clean sailing. We are a not-for-profit, raising awareness of ocean conservation opportunities within our sport, our passion, our pastime.

Our aim is to create an ocean ambassador of each and every sailor around the world.

Why we do it

As sailors, the sea is our pleasure, our passion and our pastime, and we recognise the great responsibility we have in helping to safeguard her clean and healthy future.

We recognise our responsibility to look after the seas we sail.

We are proud and respectful of the ecosystems and life that the sea gives and supports.

We help to ensure that she is protected and that she may recover, flourish and continue to support the plethora of life and ecosystems that have thrived for generations before us.

Let's protect the sea, for there is no other greater source of life nor governor to the balance of our global environment.

What we do

We share stories, science, research, knowledge, ideas and sustainable sailing tips with and from our community, and beyond. 

We sell ethically-sourced and sustainable Clean Sailors products to raise awareness of our project, sailing and ocean conservation. 

We campaign through lobbying, explaining, sharing and canvassing those that can help change happen.

How we do it

1. Clean Sailors is a not-for-profit meaning what we make is returned straight back into our organisation to keep us running. We are a company limited by guarantee, meaning any profit we make stays in Clean Sailors, for the good of Clean Sailors. 

2. We only source from and partner with like-minded, ocean-minded organisations with strong environmental sustainability creds. All of our merchandise partners are also ethical, sustainable, low-tox, cruelty-free and low impact, just like us.

3. All of our packaging is recycled packaging - we try not to buy new, but to reuse. we ask that you do the same at your end - Reuse or Recycle.
