Company profile

The journey, perfected.

Pakt makes refined gear for the modern mobile lifestyle. We exist to make products that enhance your experiences, wherever they may take you.

Our journey began in 2017 for a simple reason: to resurrect a cult travel bag. Industrial designer Malcolm Fontier’s Getaway bag had been out of production for several years when it was featured in a 2016 documentary on Netflix, Minimalism, as the bag of choice of minimalist travelers. After receiving hundreds of requests to bring it back, Malcolm decided to work on a new, improved version of the bag.

One wildly successful crowdfunding campaign, a handful of round-the-world trips, and thousands of happy backers later, we decided we were having too much fun to stop.

So, as of the spring of 2018, Pakt the brand was officially born. Our mission is to create unique, refined, and responsibly-sourced products for our growing community of travelers. Collaboration is baked into our brand, and we try to work with other like-minded brands, creators, and our awesome community as often as possible.

As conscious travelers ourselves, we strive to design and produce high quality products without compromising the health of our fellow humans or the earth.

Eco-friendly materials

We only use modern, durable, technical materials that are animal-friendly and have the lowest possible environmental impact. We are also working to constantly improve our supply chain and products by looking for lower impact replacements for every step and every material.

Plastic-free packaging

We’re deeply committed to keeping our oceans healthy, so we’ve opted to ship our products in 100% plastic-free packaging designed by our sister company, SeaHive. SeaHive fights plastic pollution before it enters our oceans by eliminating plastic packaging and educating consumers.

WE DON’T BELIEVE TRULY “SUSTAINABLE” PRODUCTS EXIST

So we’re going with the next best thing: producing products as responsibly as possible, building them to last, and designing them to be versatile; so you can minimize the number of products you need. The road to reducing our impact takes time, but we're committed to learning, improving, and sharing what we learn, every step of the way
