Ventive Limited is a pioneer in the design of naturally intelligent ventilation systems to deliver fresh air at minimal energy cost. Tom Lipinski founded the company with the vision that ventilation can play a key role in the sustainable architecture of the future. Almost all of the air we breathe, within the built environment, can be introduced comfortably without the need for further power, heating or cooling. He quickly developed a sophisticated form of natural ventilation to reduce the reliance on costly, energy-hungry mechanical ventilation systems.

Working with top UK university researchers from Imperial, UCL, and Brunel, Ventive filed for patent in 2013 on a technique known as passive ventilation with heat recovery. Initially designed for the home refurbishment market, the products enjoyed early success before being further developed in the past five years into a range of new products designed for schools, libraries, offices, and homes.
