The Bamboo Flooring Company was established in 2004 and is a distributor and retailer of high quality bamboo flooring and matching flooring accessories. We are based in Leicestershire and have an extensive showroom displaying our full range of bamboo flooring and bamboo flooring accessories and a 1300ft ² factory to store all of our stock. We also have additional unmanned showrooms in London and Swindon where all of our bamboo products can be seen. The Bamboo Flooring Company is a trading name of Kitchener Flooring Ltd, and we also have a sister company, Ambience Hardwood Flooring, which distributes hardwood flooring, laminate flooring, vinyl flooring and hardwood flooring accessories.At the Bamboo Flooring Company we pride ourselves on the supply of premium grade, environmentally friendly bamboo flooring and accessories. We offer high quality service, technical advice and competitive prices on our full range of bamboo products. Due to our extensive stock we can supply our complete range of bamboo flooring and accessories on a next working day delivery basis. We import directly from the factory in China so we miss out the ‘middle man’, which means you can enjoy a better price and service.

Environmentally Friendly Bamboo

Bamboo is a rapid growing grass that can be harvested every 5 years, unlike 15-20 years for most hardwood. This makes bamboo flooring extremely eco-friendly and also sustainable as it re-generates and continues to grow, rather than needing to be replanted like trees. Bamboo is one of the hardest natural materials available for flooring making it an attractive alternative to hardwood floors, not only because of its extreme durability, but also because of its low cost and eco-friendliness. Some types of bamboo flooring are over twice as hard as Oak, making them popular with both commercial and domestic properties. Most of our flooring products and matching mouldings are available with 100% FSC certification (FSC C109654), which means that every business involved in the chain of production of the flooring product (forest owner, farmer, manufacturer and seller) shares the FSC values and ideals of addressing the exploitation and mismanagement of forests, whilst promoting the social biodiversity and ecological value of them through long term forestry management plans. Regular checks are carried out to ensure that these values and ideals are upheld and we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously.
